Canton First Methodist breaks ground on new addition
This week, our team proudly participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for The Wesley Wing, a new addition at Canton First Methodist Church that will expand the campus and support the church’s long-term ministry and community goals. The ceremony marked the official start of construction and the transition from planning and design into execution.
The Wesley Wing is a 10,000-square-foot, purpose-built addition designed to accommodate a range of programmatic needs, including missions support, community outreach initiatives, Christian conferences, and discipleship activities.
From a design perspective, the project prioritizes durability, accessibility, and efficient circulation to support high levels of daily use. The layout emphasizes multi-use gathering areas, support spaces, and infrastructure capable of serving both internal church programming and broader community events. Attention has also been given to long-term operational efficiency, ensuring the facility supports the church’s mission well into the future.
The groundbreaking brought together church leadership, members, and project partners, underscoring the collaborative effort behind the Wesley Wing. It was an important milestone that reflects months of coordination, planning, and shared vision—laying the literal and figurative foundation for what the space will become.
Our project team is excited to move into the construction phase and begin bringing the Wesley Wing to life. We are committed to delivering a high-quality addition that not only meets the technical requirements of the program, but also creates a welcoming, functional environment that serves Canton First Methodist Church and its community.
We look forward to sharing progress updates as construction advances and The Wesley Wing takes shape as a valuable extension of the church’s campus.
