Cooper & Company is excited to announce that Steve Cooper along with the entire team of Cooper & Company were recognized by the Forsyth County Chamber as a 2020 Impact Award recipient. The 2020 Impact Awards were hosted virtually by the Forsyth County Chamber during the month of December.

According to the website, the intent of this new program was to recognize organizations in Forsyth County that have made a positive impact in the community by being a driving force in Economic Development for the area.  In addition, these companies and individuals have helped create a superior quality of life for Forsyth County Citizens over the course of this year.

Nominations were received in several categories including healthcare, manufacturing, technology, tourism, local restaurant, diversity & inclusion, and community leader categories.  Each category nomination was considered alongside this year’s theme of A Spirit of Resilience.

Impact Award Winners were selected based on their total positive impact in Forsyth County with a focus on their spirit of resilience in the face of a pandemic. Chamber businesses were nominated by chamber members and voted on by a panel of experienced business leaders within the community.

Cooper & Company President Steve Cooper stated that “being part of this community is more about giving back – not just about our local projects. We initiate goals that include involving subcontractors and vendors as a part of our team to encourage giving back to the community.”

In addition, the Cooper team was recognized for the number of community service activities that we do collectively.  We are an active member of the North Georgia Community Foundation, the Forsyth County Community Foundation, and we just recently gave back to the Boy Scouts in Forsyth County.

Other recipients included Georgia Highlands Medical Center in the Healthcare category, Siemens in the Manufacturing category, GCI in the Technology category, Holiday Inn & Express in the Tourism category, Tam’s Backstage in the Local Restaurant category, and My Forsyth Magazine in the Diversity Category.
